Powell Peralta Skateboard Skeleton Hood Sweatshirt Mid Weight Navy
Skate till death
In 1977, artist Vernon Courtlandt Johnson (VCJ) illustrated two black-and-white posters to promote Bones wheels. About a year later, he began working on a new project that transformed the Bones theme into the concept of a skateboarding skeleton. To help him create a more realistic image, George purchased a life-sized skeleton from a medical supply store, which Court named Rosie. After several hours of positioning and rigging, Rosie was suspended in a pose resembling a skateboarding skeleton. Court then got to work on his piece, which he completed near the end of 1978. This artwork was later used as a Bones sticker and T-shirt graphic, marking the first illustration produced under the new Powell Peralta brand.
